Lagoon

Since we needed to be in Brigham City later in the week, we decided to head down to Utah a day early and spend the day at Lagoon.  We haven't been in at least 10 years, so only the big girls ever remember going.  Each time we pass it on our regular treks to Utah, the kids always want to go, so this time, we made it happen.

It was a glorious day!  Picture perfect weather (okay, maybe a bit hot for us Pacific Northwesters) and very few lines.  We had only a few mishaps (Rachel losing her cell phone, but thankfully recovering it at lost and found, and William getting a goose egg on his head after trying to go down a water slide on his feet), but overall, it was wonderful!

Kate and William loved all the rides in kiddie land.  David and I took turns spending time with them, or going around with the big kids.  However, since William is over 36 inches, there were some we could do all together.  We met up once when we were really hot to ride Rattlesnake rapids and got completely soaked--and thankfully--cooled off.   The log ride was a favorite too!

The swings are one of my all time favorite rides!

The big kids' favorite ride was the new roller coaster, Wicked.  I must say, it was pretty amazing.  And of course, Colossus is always great.  The Samari was a bit wild for me--I decided I must be getting old.

We spent the hot afternoon in the waterpark.  It was great to get cooled off.  We even saw some of our friends from home and had a "it's a small world moment" when we realized we knew their friends that they were visiting.

After playing hard, and recovering from a bump on the head, William fell instantly asleep in the wagon.

We stayed until it closed and rode rides like crazy!
