Christmas Break

We had a fun few days off of school after Christmas.  Besides our trip to Grandma's house for New Years, we mostly hung out and relaxed.  We spent one evening with our friends the Huillets and the Andrews.

Ben had fun having some boys to play with.
The girls rocked at Just Dance.

The grownups played games and chatted.

Karin and her sweet Anna
Love these wonderful ladies!  We've been friends for years even though we have lived far apart at times.  There is nothing like old friends!

On another day, Grandma Hales and I took the three little ones to Northwest Trek Animal Park.  The kids had gotten free passes from the library summer reading program and they expired at year end.  We made it in the nick of time!
Kate especially loves the otters there.  She named them Tootsie and Chocolate the last time we went, and was so happy to go back and visit her special friends.

 The raccoons were another favorite.
The tram ride was great.  These kids were good animal spotters.

Such amazing creatures!  We saw elk, three moose, bighorn sheep, deer, and lots of bison.
