William turned 3!
We had a busy day, but when we finally got together at the end of the day, we got to celebrate. William chose his birthday dinner menu of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and broccoli. Afterward, William got to open his presents. He got some new Cars
a soccer ball, and soccer goal, some coloring books and markers from Grandma, and a new train.
Opening presents was serious business.
William has been talking about his birthday cake for months. He wanted a chocolate cake with dinosaurs and candy on it. He helped pick the dinosaurs and we put three on since he was turning three.
After he blew out the candles, he started eating the M&Ms and managed to eat almost all of them off the cake before we got it cut and served. That boy loves M&Ms. They were the secret weapon that got us through our trip to the Middle East. Amazingly, they were sold lots of places. David would buy a package and then ration them out really slowly, so that William would cooperate for as long as possible. So for his birthday, we just let him eat them. He was as happy as could be.
Kate was having some birthday jealousy, so William tried to cheer her up by making her smile. He was so cute and sweet with her.
Happy Birthday William! We love having you in our family.
