Lake Crescent is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
Nestled in the Olympic Mountains, it is serene and untouched. I'm sure it is often shrouded in low clouds and rain, but on the day we went, we had fabulous blue skies and perfectly warm temperatures.
The kids had a fabulous time jumping off the dock into the cold, blue water.
Even Kate got brave enough to try it.
It was a perfect summer day.
(Thanks to Karen for some of these fantastic pictures!)
We rented a canoe and the kids took turns on it.
We sat on wooden chairs in the shade of the beautiful old lodge. The lodge was like something out of a movie. The screened porch lined with flower baskets and wicker furniture was so cute.
We relaxed and visited and enjoyed being together.
We honestly couldn't believe a movie hadn't been filmed here yet. So picturesque and breathtaking.
After a full afternoon at Lake Crescent, we drove on to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort.
