Today was the last day of summer vacation. We were busy with last minute schedule changes at the high school (still not resolved and oh, so much drama...), dropping of school supplies at Ben's classroom, playing on the playground at his and Kate's new school, making cookies for lunches tomorrow, laying out new school clothes, organizing folders, decorating binders, and cleaning out backpacks (most kids did this at the end of the school year, but one got overlooked). There was also soccer and football practices. And filling out volunteer paperwork.
I'm not ready for all of this.
I still want summer.
We have a good summer groove going--I don't want it to end.
