we hit our small town parade;
there were great floats, bands, big trucks, old fashioned cars, and lots of candy!
William thought the candy was about the greatest thing ever. He pretty much had a sucker in his mouth constantly because as soon as he'd finish one, another person in the parade passing out candy would hand him another one. (This is him in awe over some very large truck)
Someone else gave him a beach ball which he clutched (can a beach ball even be clutched?) tightly for the rest of the parade.
It also must be almost summer when...
my garden finally begins to grow!
peas
beets
potatoes
strawberries
It sure feels like summer when we get to leave the windows open, water the garden (that means it has stopped raining constantly!), get together with friends, and enjoy the bounty of the season (okay, I'm sure this corn isn't grown anywhere locally, but it still makes me feel like summer!)
Only 7 more days of school. Then summer will really begin!

Your kids are still in school? You must be on a year-round system. I kept wondering why it wasn't summer yet to you.:) Your garden looks great. And some fresh corn sounds delish right now.
