William's 5th Birthday

William turned five a few weeks ago.  He had a great birthday!

We were lucky that he could have a party right on his exact birthday  He wanted a space birthday party.  First, the children made constellations with black paper, star stickers and crayons.
Next, our resident paper plane guru, Ben, taught the kids how to make paper rockets.
Then  they flew their rockets into space.

The kids did a "moon rock" treasure hunt, pin the rocket on the moon, and rocket, rocket, blast off (duck duck goose).  Then it was present time!

After presents the kids went outside and played in the meteor showers (sprinkler).  Then it was time for cake.

It was a super fun birthday party with his sweet friends.

That night, we celebrated with our family.  As is tradition, William got to choose and decorate his own cake.  He put on all the fun stuff he could find!
Let's look at that creation a bit closer.  Notice the section with red hots that William decorated just for himself.  Love it!
Happy birthday to my amazing boy!
