Ben had a birthday last week and turned nine!
a nerf basketball hoop for his bedroom door (to replace one that broke a few months ago),
a chess set that David brought from Iraq,
and a pocket telescope/microscope that he got from Grandma Hales.
His big present was a basketball hoop for the back patio that he and David are still working on putting together.
Ben chose to have chocolate cheesecake pie instead of a birthday cake. It was delicious!

After we assembled his nerf basketball hoop and put it up, Ben immediately started playing and figured out he was finally tall enough to slam dunk it. He decided that maybe turning nine had made him taller after all!

Nine! Are you kidding me?? Ben is supposed to be around 5 and his face should be much rounder.
Ben has grown SO much!! I can tell by these pics he & Dane would get along very well....BYU jersey, harmonica, basketball hoop, etc. :)
