Nativity Festival

After months of preparation, it was finally time for the nativity festival.  I snapped a few pictures with my phone as we walked through the building.

This is the wooden nativity that Sarah and Rachel helped paint.  Rachel painted the wise man on the far left (purple robe) and Sarah painted the group of three shepherds at the far right.  I should have taken close ups...

Here are some of the other decorations.  People went to such an enormous amount of work to make this a lovely event.

There were over 400 creches on display throughout the building.

and a live nativity.

Sarah and Rachel helped with this mural as well.

The children's and youth choirs performed in a concert on Saturday night.  Then the adult choir performed on Sunday night.  We had a few glitches (and even tears!) during the Saturday night concert, mostly due to the fact that we never actually got to have a dress rehearsal because of some double booking of the chapel.  Thank goodness the kids were cute anyway.  And they sang well.

And it was finally over.  Phew!
