Sea World

We spent Thursday of our California trip at Sea World in San Diego.  We met our friends, the Jones, there.  It was fun to spend the day with them!

We started out by going to the Shamu show.  Shamu didn't disappoint.

We were loving the warm sunny weather.

William waving to Shamu.  He loved the show.
Next up was the Sea Lion show
and then checking out some of the animals.
The dolphin show was quite spectacular with platform divers and trapeze artists as well as the dolphins.  Actually, it was a bit over the top if you ask me.
Feeding the rays was one of the favorite activities of the day.
Probably my favorite part of the day was watching the dolphins.  They are amazing creatures.

Kate wanted so desperately to be able to touch the dolphin.  She followed the directions of the trainer so carefully and put her finger up in just the right way.  She finally got a chance to touch the dolphins as they swam by.

The big kids spent the afternoon off by themselves, riding the big rides and being on their own.  So we took the little kids to the big Sesame Street playground and William got a chance to meet Elmo.

I meant to take a big group picture of all of us, as we exited the park, but after a day of beautiful sunshine, the clouds quickly rolled in and we left in a hurry during a heavy rainstorm.
