We spent Tuesday and Wednesday of our California trip at Disneyland. We were glad that our friends, the Savages, were there too. We spent much of the day together.
I loved seeing Kate and her friend, Kira, hand in hand.
We had a fabulous time! We had a great time riding rides. Buzz's Astro Blaster was a favorite by all, especially William.
He loved King Triton's carousel too!
The new Cars Land was pretty amazing. It looked exactly like it did in the movie. We got fast passes for the new Cars ride first thing, which was good, because fast passes for it were gone after a couple hours.

Space Mountain and
California Screamin are my all-time favorite rides. Everyone else but me knew where the camera was!
The first day was non-stop going on rides. It was cool and rainy and as a result, the park wasn't as crowded, so we took advantage of it, and rode ride after ride. The second day, however, I wanted to slow things down a bit and let the little kids experience some of that Disney magic. So we spent much of the first part of the day meeting characters.
William loved them all. Pluto was especially playful with William.
Sarah had to join us in line at the last minute to get a hug from Eeyore.
I think meeting Pooh was a highlight for William, who has been a Pooh fan for a long time. Pooh was so sweet to William, touching his face and hugging him for a long time. Love those characters at Disney!
We also did some of the rides that the little kids liked. They loved playing in the Tarzan Tree house.
Another highlight of the day was Kate and Kira's experience in Jedi Training. They both got selected to participate in the show. First they got their robes and then learned how to use a light saber.
After their initial training, who should appear but the evil Darth Vador and Darth Maal.
The new jedi trainees were recruited to defend the Force and fight the Dark Side.
Kate personally had to battle Darth Maal and
Darth Vador.
They fought hard and defended the Force and became official padawans (Jedi in Training). It was an awesome show--full of lots of Disney splendor!
