Harmony, Pennsylvania

After we left Philadelphia, we drove to Harmony, Pennsylvania. We had a picnic at the homesite of Isaac Hale, Emma Hale Smith's father.

While we ate, we let the bunny out of her cage for a while. We put her on her harness and she loved exploring all over.

She's been a great traveler and done well in her travel cage in the car. We have her in the backseat between Sarah and Rachel and they are taking good care of her.

Across the street was the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration site on the banks of the Susquehanna River.

Accessing the river is a little tricky, but David found a frontage road that took us over the railroad tracks and down to the river. It was very peaceful and beautiful. We stayed there for a while and let the kids explore and talked about the importance of what happened there.

We also drove through Colesville and found a few other church history sites, including the house where Joseph and Emma were married, and then headed on to Ithica, New York, where we spent the night. Ithica is a beautiful town. We stayed at a hotel on the hill that overlooked one of the finger lakes and it was a breathtaking view.
