This year we drove to Idaho to spend Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa Harper. We had a week filled with family, good food, shopping, and lots of fun! The kids had time for long games of Monopoly,
and Grandma kept us full of yummy treats.
William learned all about sweets on this trip!

David loves spending time with his brothers. All the boys, including the boy cousins, took an overnight trip to Provo for a BYU basketball game. Ben was in heaven the whole time I think. A full 24 hours of just boy stuff! He even got Jackson Emery's autograph after the game and thought that was pretty awesome. The girls took a shopping trip to Idaho Falls while the boys were gone.
Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve, we had the traditional Nativity play. Kate was so excited to be Mary and finally talked Ben into being Joseph with her. Their cousin Jarrod was a good sport and agreed to be the donkey.
The girls raided all of Grandma's closets and cupboards to find costumes for everyone.
Christmas Morning.
Everyone waiting to go see what they got from Santa.
He came!
New baseball gloves for the boys.
William held onto that bat for most of the day. Except for when he got to eat a candy cane. Can't you see the intensity on his face?
It was a fun Christmas! I was worried about driving on snowy roads and fitting all our presents in the car, but we took David's 4-wheel drive and made it over snowy passes. And David fastened three trunks on the back and a carrier on the top and we managed to fit everything in. I'm so glad that we got to spend Christmas in Idaho. It was a great trip!
