Easter Egg Hunt 2014

We always have our Easter Egg Hunt on the Saturday before Easter.  We have lived in the Pacific Northwest now for five years, and so far, have had decent weather.  It's not always been sunny and glorious, but it has never rained.  This year, the weather didn't cooperate.  It was raining on and off all morning.  We finally had a little break in the rain, so the kids--so anxious to have the Easter Egg Hunt--told me to go hide the eggs.  Just as I hid the last egg, the rain came back again.

What do to, what to do?

Ever concerned about the plastic eggs that have tiny holes, and the real eggs getting ruined in the rain, the kids decided to brave the rain.  So they grabbed raincoats and were off on the hunt, Pacific Northwest style!

For some reason, Kate decided to wear this extra big raincoat.

And of course, as luck would have it, as soon as they finished finding eggs, the sun came out and stayed for the rest of the day.
